BUFALA A Charlottesville il primo matrimonio gay tra neonazisti

Ticino News riporta l’affascinante vicenda di una coppia di neo-nazi gay che si sarebbero sposati in America:

Scoppia l’amore tra neonazisti nella città che il mese scorso è stato teatro di un’orribile tragedia causata proprio da uno di loro, quando il suprematista bianco James Alex Fields Jr. ha investito una ragazza 32enne durante un corteo antirazzista.

Ma a Charlottesville, Virginia, adesso si celebra il primo matrimonio gay tra neonazisti. Matthew Brooks e Shawn Thomas si sono infatti sposati nella chiesa episcopale di St-Francis. Il neosposo Brooks commenta raggiante: “Non poteva esserci un giorno migliore che questo evento per riunire migliaia di persone della stessa fede e convinzioni razziali”.

E, ai giornalisti che fanno notare che durante il regime nazista gli omosessauli venivano perseguitati e internati, lo stesso Brooks fa notare: “Non tutti i neonazisti sono gay. L’amore tra bianchi ariani è una cosa bellissima, ma non sarebbe lo stesso con un nero (in realtà la parola usata era più offensiva, ndr) o un fedifrago”.

Quella che negli USA è satira, da noi è diventata bufala. Perché non è accettabile che nel 2017 una testata registrata non si preoccupi di controllare una fonte che riferisce nel disclaimer della propria natura satirica. Comunque, il testo originale è questo:

The marriage that was officiated by Father Frederickson in a private house where 62 guests took part in the festivities is officially the first “gay neo-Nazi union” in the state of Virginia according to newly weds Matthew Brooks, 56, and Shawn Thomas, 52.

Although the newly weds are both members of the Virginia-based Vanguard America white supremacist group since 2005, no official spokesman of Vanguard America was available for comments.

La foto della “coppia” viene reindirizzata dalla ricerca Google ad un articolo dell’Independent che parla di Jarrod Kuhn, l’uomo che dopo essere stato identificato per aver partecipato alla marcia dei suprematisti bianchi a Charlottesville si era rivolto ai giornali per denunciare che la sua vita era finita.

La foto del fantomatico Padre Frederickson appartiene invece ad un articolo del New York Times del 2006, e ritrae il vescovo della chiesa episcopale Andrew D. Smith (Connecticut), che segnala un’apertura della chiesa verso le persone della comunità LGBT*. Una scelta decisamente ironica da parte della redazione del World News Daily Report.
Online, nessuna notizia che possa ricollegarsi ai due presunti novelli sposi o al sacerdote.
